SprintHR v2.9.2 Release Notes

Release date: October 26, 2026
Coverage: Consolidated product improvements from September–October 2026

SprintHR v2.9.2 brings together improvements across Payroll, HRIS, reporting, attendance, Employee Self-Service, and mobile access. These updates help teams manage payroll more accurately, review employee information more easily, and handle larger workflows more efficiently.

Payroll and employee earnings

More flexible payroll calculations

  • Corrected daily payroll holiday pay: Fixed a calculation issue that could cause company holiday pay to be counted twice in daily payroll.
  • Compensation changes within a cut-off: Improved payroll and payslip calculations when an employee’s pay rate changes during a cut-off, with more accurate handling of historical rates and attendance deductions.
  • Clearer new-hire payroll: For newly hired monthly-paid employees, prorated basic pay and attendance-related deductions are shown separately, making payroll calculations easier to review. Administrators can enable or disable new-hire monthly pay proration according to their payroll settings.
  • Fixed special allowances per cut-off: Set or import a fixed special allowance amount for each cut-off. The system can adjust the allowance based on attendance for both shift and flexible employees.
  • Configurable allowance and benefit deductions: Payroll formulas now support attendance-based adjustments to applicable taxable and non-taxable allowances and benefits.
  • Improved 13th-month calculations: Tardiness or undertime flagged as an absence by attendance threshold rules is distinguished from an actual absence for the relevant 13th-month calculation. A separate configuration option supports including Taxshield Allowance where applicable under company policy.
  • Night differential flexibility: An optional schedule setting lets administrators include eligible break time when calculating night differential hours, based on the organization's configured rules.

Easier earnings and deductions management

  • Compensation history improvements: Compensation records are sorted by effective date, with effective dates adjusted to avoid overlaps between consecutive records.
  • Employee account access updates: Archiving or restoring an employee now keeps their account access status consistent with the employee record.
  • Faster bonus adjustments: Update bonus amounts for selected employees. HRIS also supports mass-updating different amounts under the same bonus code; adjustment options are available in supported project-site and restaurant modules.
  • Consistent earnings and deduction titles: Administrators can maintain commonly used titles in Payroll Settings and select them when recording adjusted, recurring, or non-recurring earnings and deductions.
  • A cleaner Adjusted Earnings page: A refreshed interface makes it easier to review and manage employee adjustments.
  • Better recurring-deduction visibility: Recurring deductions now show their associated payroll group to simplify reviews when employees move between groups.
  • More flexible payment details: Authorized users can remove outdated employee bank or e-wallet details, including an employee's only registered account. Employees without a configured account can be handled as cash-based for payroll release purposes.

Payslips and payroll processing

  • Download payslips by department: Generate payslips for a selected department or all departments. Files are organized for easier distribution, with ZIP downloads for larger batches.
  • Employee and company payslip copies: Payslip Template 5 supports distinct Employee Copy and Company Copy formats with watermarks for supported web, Employee Self-Service (ESS), and mobile payslips.
  • Smoother large payroll downloads: Large payroll report requests can be processed in the background, with the generated file made available when processing is complete.
  • Bulk payroll cut-off editing: Update matching cut-off dates and release dates across multiple payroll groups in one action. This applies to pending cut-offs; generated or locked periods remain unchanged.
  • Project-site payment file options: Multiple Project Site (PSM) payroll releases can separate files for employees with registered bank details and those paid through cash-based arrangements.

Clearer reports and timesheets

  • More informative tax-withheld reports: Tax-withheld report exports now include employee code, name, TIN, and total amount withheld, along with employee counts by department and an overall report total.
  • Consistent government contribution amounts: Government contribution report figures now display two decimal places for easier review.
  • Standardized Payroll Register exports: Detailed, Summary, and Compact reports use more consistent headers, employee identification, department ordering, and employee counts. Compact reports also place key gross pay, deduction, and net pay figures together for easier review.
  • Consolidated reports by date range: Generate a Detailed or Summarized Payroll Register over a selected range, either by payroll group or by employee.
  • More useful timesheet details: Timesheet Template 2 reports now include additional attendance fields such as rest day and holiday hours, lateness, undertime, and absences, alongside employee codes and remarks.
  • Improved timesheet totals: Total Regular Hours excludes hours worked on rest days in the relevant report, and Timesheet Template 1 includes employee subtotals.
  • Government contribution reports by department: SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth reports support an optional department-grouped format with consistent headings and employee counts.
  • Better performance for larger timesheets: Paginated timesheet views load employee records in smaller groups to improve responsiveness when working with larger workforces.

Attendance, scheduling, and approvals

  • Refined attendance and pay calculations: Improved handling of rest days, undertime, official business, and night differential pay.
  • Assign undertime rules to multiple employees: Apply the same undertime rule to a selected group of employees in one operation.
  • Schedule-change audit history: Updates to an employee's schedule type are now recorded in the audit trail for easier tracking.
  • Helpful overnight overtime reminders: ESS prompts employees on overnight schedules to check overtime start and end dates when a request crosses midnight.
  • More efficient bulk overtime approvals: Larger batches of overtime approvals are processed through a queue to support smoother request handling.

Mobile attendance visibility

  • Attendance log images for supervisors on Android: Authorized supervisors can view available attendance log images for their subordinates directly in the SprintHR Android app. This enhancement is currently specific to Android.

Support and biometric device management

  • Guided support requests (beta): A new step-by-step ticket submission experience helps users provide request information, affected details, and supporting attachments when reporting an issue.
  • Biometric device administration: The ZKTeco integration now supports configuring device administrator access through the SprintHR web module, making device administration more convenient for authorized users.

These improvements are designed to make everyday HR and payroll work easier to manage, review, and complete. Feature availability can vary by module, administrator permissions, and company configuration.
